Why should I use Significant Difference?
We understand the importance of your research and of communicating your findings in English. We dedicate ourselves to you and your paper: your goal becomes our goal. We are experienced and successful in helping authors publish in peer-reviewed journals, and we will make your paper our top priority until you are satisfied with the final product.
How will my manuscript be edited?
Your manuscript will first be reviewed by the senior managing editor at Significant Difference, who will determine which scientific editor is the most suitable for you. The chosen editor will edit/check your manuscript at least twice. It will then be returned to the senior editor for a final review. Thus, your manuscript will be edited and reviewed at least three times before it is returned to you.
In what form will my paper be returned to me?
Generally, we edit your word processing file directly. We use the "track changes" word processing feature so that you can both see your edited manuscript in its final form and view all of our changes against your original text. You will have the option to accept the changes globally or accept and reject them one by one. This word processing feature also allows us to insert questions or suggestions for your consideration.
Some of our clients prefer to correct their word processing file themselves. In these cases, we provide a "marked-up" copy of the paper. In other words, we use pen to mark up the actual printed pages, and then we scan each page and return the set of pages to the client as a .pdf file. Some authors prefer this method because they wish the opportunity to practice writing in English.
In either case, we return your manuscript along with an individualized Notes file that includes helpful English grammar, syntax and punctuation rules as well as specific questions or comments we might have for you.
What if I have questions or feel that you have not captured my intended meaning?
Your questions and concerns are always welcome. You are encouraged to correspond with us by email, and we will reply thoroughly and promptly. If any further changes are needed, we can make such changes speedily.
How do I pay for your service?
Significant Difference offers two payments options: bank wire transfer and credit card (American Express, Mastercard or Visa). Detailed instructions for both methods are provided with your invoice. You may choose either method. If you choose the credit card option, you will discover that it is very easy and entirely secure. Payment is made through a secure website, and we never see your credit card number.
Can I pay by check?
Yes, you can pay by check. Some of our clients are serving in fellowship or training positions in the U.S. These clients sometimes prefer to pay by check. We welcome this form of payment also.
